National Pharmacy Week Celebrations – 2025

Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education & Research (ABIPER), in association with IPA Bangalore (Urban) Local Branch, celebrated the 64th National Pharmacy Week (NPW) – 2025 with great enthusiasm and social responsibility from 25th to 27th November 2025. This year’s theme, “Pharmacists as Advocates for Vaccination,” highlighted the vital role of pharmacists in promoting community health, preventive care, and vaccination awareness across all age groups.

The three-day event was held under the guidance of Dr. B. A. Vishwanath, Chairman of the Aditya Group of Institutions.

The event was coordinated by Dr. Sowjanya Battu (Vice-Principal), the Management, the staff, and the student community of ABIPER.

DAY 1 – 25 NOVEMBER 2025

The National Pharmacy Week commenced with an impactful Awareness Campaign at Primary Health Centre (PHC), Yelahanka, in the presence of faculty members and students. The campaign focused on three public-health themes:

  1. HPV Vaccination Awareness – Educating the public on cervical cancer prevention, the importance of the HPV vaccine, and early immunization.
  2. Breast Cancer Awareness & Early Detection – Highlighting self-examination techniques, risk factors, and the significance of early diagnosis.
  3. Role of Effective Nutrition in Cancer Prevention & Management – Emphasizing immunity-boosting diets, lifestyle modification, and nutritional care for cancer prevention.

The forenoon event witnessed active participation from community members, PHC healthcare workers, and student volunteers.

Industrial Visit to Dayashin Technosoft Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore

The Department of Artificial intelligence & Machine learning and Data science Engineering of Aditya College of Engineering and Technology, Bangalore, organized an industrial visit to Dayashin Technosoft Pvt. Ltd., Yelachenahalli, Bangalore on 16th October 2025. The visit was arranged with the objective of providing students with practical exposure to current industry trends and to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and real-world applications.
A group of AI & ML and DS students participated in the visit, accompanied by Prof. Sukhanya L, Assistant Professor Department of AI & ML and Prof. Latha B, Assistant Professor, Department of DS, ACET.
During the session, the students were warmly welcomed by Mr. Raju K. S., Chief Information Officer (CIO), Dayashin Technosoft Pvt. Ltd., and Ms. Swathi Harish, who addressed the students and provided valuable insights into the company’s operations, software development practices, and emerging technologies in the IT industry. The speakers emphasized the importance of innovation, continuous learning, and adapting to evolving technological advancements.
The visit enabled students to gain first-hand exposure to professional working environments and understand the expectations of the industry. It also enhanced their awareness of current software development tools, project workflows, and quality assurance processes used in corporate settings.

Dussehra Cultural Celebrations along with Freshers’ Day

The Department organized the Dussehra Cultural Celebrations along with Freshers’ Day to welcome the new batch of UG students with enthusiasm and festivity. The event aimed to showcase cultural vibrancy, promote unity among students, and provide a platform for freshers to exhibit their talents.

Guest Address
The program was graced by Ms. Shobha Singh, a distinguished alumna of Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Kolkata. In her inspiring address, she emphasized the importance of discipline, hard work, and continuous learning, motivating students to set ambitious goals and make the most of their college journey.

Shraddhanjali to Shri S. L. Bhyrappa
The students and Staff paid homage to the Kannada Literary Icon, Shri S. L. Bhyrappa, a distinguished Novelist, Padma Bhushan Awardee for his contributions to Kannada Literature.

Cultural Performances
The event was marked by a series of colourful performances, including:

  • Traditional dance and music showcasing the spirit of Dussehra.
  • Freshers’ talent was witnessed with singing, dance, and fun activities.
  • Energetic group performances that brought the audience together in festive joy through Dandiya.

The celebration successfully blended tradition with modern student culture. Freshers felt warmly welcomed, seniors enjoyed the festive atmosphere. It created memorable moments for both freshers and seniors while strengthening the sense of unity and cultural pride among students.

Dasara and Saraswathi Pooja Celebration was organized on Monday, 29th September 2025, at Aditya Institute of Management Studies.
The program commenced with the traditional rituals dedicated to Goddess Saraswathi, the Goddess of wisdom and learning. Faculty members, staff, and students participated in the pooja with devotion and reverence. The celebration highlighted the cultural and spiritual significance of Dasara emphasizing the importance of knowledge in shaping one’s life.

The event concluded with the distribution of prasadam to all participants. The celebration was carried out in a devotional manner, making the occasion meaningful and memorable.

CAREER GUIDANCE PROGRAM TOWARDS HIGHER EDUCATION

A Career Guidance Program on Higher Education was conducted at Aditya College of Engineering and Technology (ACET), Bangalore, organized in association with Global Career Academy. The session aimed to enlighten students about opportunities for pursuing higher education abroad, including academic pathways, admission processes, scholarships, and career prospects at international universities.
The program was arranged under the guidance of Dr. M. S. Ganesha Prasad, Principal, ACET, whose continuous encouragement and support made the event a success. The session witnessed active participation from students across various departments who were keen to explore global education opportunities.

The experts from Global Career Academy addressed the students and provided detailed insights on:

  • Choosing the right country and university for higher education
  • Admission procedures, eligibility criteria, and standardized tests (GRE, TOEFL, IELTS, etc.)

National Conference started with Inaugural session. Director, Prof. Dr. V. Pushpa Shetty welcomed the guests and invitees highlighting the vision and objectives of the conference.

The Chief guest – Dr. Ritika Sinha, in her address, provided insights on benefits and challenges of AI using real time examples, and also emphasized the importance of Human intelligence, creativity, empathy and skills as businesses are transforming in the AI era.

The Keynote speaker, CMA. Ravindranatha Kaushik, highlighted that AI cannot replace human intelligence, however AI’s role in the current era is vital. He has emphasized the role of AI in Finance, Taxation and Audit, especially in identifying accounting frauds.

The next Keynote Speaker, Mr. Srinivas Prabhu, shed light on why can’t anyone be an entrepreneur and need not be a techie and advised students to identify the problems in the surrounding ecosystem, search for the solutions and convert them as opportunities using AI.

The third keynote speaker, Dr. Usha Krishna, emphasized the need for supreme and spiritual intelligence in this techno stress AI era.

The later session was continued with paper presentations in various tracks under various session chairs. World Sight Day Rally Participation

On 19 October 2025, the students of   Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education and Research (ABIPER), along with staff member Mr. Manju, actively participated in the World Sight Day rally organised by NSS Cell of RGUHS at Cubbon Park, Bengaluru. The rally aimed to promote awareness on eye health, prevention of avoidable blindness, and the importance of regular eye check-ups. Participants from various institutions affiliated to RGUHS marched with placards and raised slogans in support of vision care and eye donation. The involvement of ABIPER students reflected their enthusiasm towards social and health-related causes. The event not only spread an important message to the public but also encouraged students to engage in community-oriented activities with responsibility and commitment.

REPORT ON METASTATIC BREAST CANCER AWARENESS RALLY

Theme: “Every Story is Unique, Every Journey Matters”

The Breast Cancer Awareness Rally was organized by the Department of Nursing under the banner of Aditya college of Nursing on 13th October 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

1. The rally was flagged off from Aditya College campus and proceeded up to Kogilu Cross, spreading awareness about the causes, risk factors, and preventive measures of breast cancer through placards, slogans, and banners.
2. Informative flyers were also distributed to the public along the route to create greater awareness.
3. The participants then returned to the college premises, successfully completing the awareness march.
4. Faculty members and students actively participated, showing great enthusiasm and commitment towards the cause.

5. Refreshments were arranged for all participants after the completion of the rally.
6. The programme concluded with a note of appreciation to all staff and students for their wholehearted support in making the event a successful and meaningful awareness initiative.
