Aditya College of Physiotherapy successfully organized the 10th webinar of the Physio Edu Series–2026 on 22 August 2026
The webinar was conducted on the topic “Beyond Falls: Understanding Frailty in Geriatric Rehabilitation.” The session focused on the importance of recognizing frailty among older adults and understanding its implications for functional independence, fall risk, mobility, and rehabilitation outcomes. The topic provided valuable insights into the broader aspects of geriatric rehabilitation beyond conventional fall prevention.The session provided an opportunity for faculty members and students to enhance their knowledge regarding frailty, its clinical relevance, and the role of physiotherapy in comprehensive geriatric rehabilitation.
The resource person for the webinar was Dr. Thillaivignesh Balasubramanian (PT), MPT – Neurological and Psychosomatic Disorders, Assistant Professor, Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education and Research, Kolar, Karnataka. With his expertise in neurological rehabilitation and related areas, Dr. Thillaivignesh delivered an informative and academically enriching session for the participants.
The programme was organized under the guidance of Dr. B. A. Vishwanath, Chairman, Aditya Group of Institutions and Dr. Priya Vishwanath, Chairperson, Aditya Group of Institutions. Dr. Vebaku Madhu, Principal, Aditya College of Physiotherapy served as the Convener.
The webinar was an academically valuable initiative under the Physio Edu Series–2026 contributing to continuous professional development and strengthening knowledge in contemporary physiotherapy practice.
